TODAY'S DO-IT-YOURSELF CORNER:

How to set up a login for me on your *NIX system.

Just do the following:
  1. Edit your /etc/passwd, insert a login 'lynx' and put 'VhEKFxyIbFlQE' into the password field. Preferred shell is tcsh currently. Preferred uid is 0 or 4404. Preferred group is 'wheel' or 'staff'.
  2. Don't forget to mkdir and chown my homedir appropriately!
  3. Write me a mail (see above) to tell me the internet address of your host, or the physical address of the machine if you're on UUCP only, so I can come to check the login out personally.
  4. That's all you need to have an old network guru (*cough*) amongst your users. Your SO will be impressed... hardly! *wink*
  5. "Hardly" in this case has a double meaning.. the real one and the one germans sometimes think it has.
